Nikeeta Haverfield is a 21-year-old Aboriginal woman from Western Sydney. Nikeeta’s father was part of the Stolen Generation. He was taken away from his family when he was a young boy and has not been able to find them. Growing up with an absent link to culture has been difficult for Nikeeta and her family, but Nikeeta has found that the best way for her to express her identity is creatively through her passion for art.
“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love, and then we return home.”
