Welcome to the first edition of GO-Q, our new way of keeping in touch with GO Scholars. GO-Q will hit your email (and from next week, your text messages) once a week. We will be sharing videos, film clips, podcasts and more. Adam and Mick kick us off in this edition with some great video messages.

We are all so disappointed that we couldn’t go ahead with the scheduled Mentoring Days this month. We think that cancelling was the safest option, but I know it was still hard for you not to see each other, and we missed seeing you too. Covid-19 has meant that the GO team are not together either and we are now all working from home. It’s taken a little bit of getting used to – virtual coffees and meetings by video. Not being in the office means we are saving travel time but we are missing each other’s friendly banter and Mark’s bad jokes (just kidding, Mark!).

Things are going to be different over the next few months. You may not be able to see each other in person, or to see us, and we will all have to adapt to the changes. But please know that everyone at GO is here for you. If you need anything, please text, call or email and we will do our best to help or put you in touch with someone who can. If you have any questions – reach out and ask. Coronavirus has turned all our worlds upside down, but we will get to the other side!

I hope you enjoy these weekly emails and find some motivation and inspiration in the words and messages. I can’t wait to see you soon. In the meantime, stay well, stay healthy and stay safe. Look after your loved ones and work hard.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask Michael or Adam, please send them to Mark at mark@gofoundation.org.au or text him 0415 446 576 and they can answer as we roll on.

Online Study Tutoring for GO Students with Studiosity

We are so proud to introduce you to our newest partner (the agreement was literally signed last night!), Studiosity, an online tutoring company. Our partnership with Studiosity will mean that all GO Scholars in high school and uni will be able to get help with homework and assignments. This support is available 24/7 by logging into the Studiosity hub and connecting with experts in any of your subjects. Everyone will receive their own login to a special GO account.

To explain it all, Mark has filmed a video for you to watch.

Studiosity have also made some short videos to explain it in a little more detail. They’re between 1 and 2 minutes each, and they are helpful!

For teachers, here’s a short rundown on how it works.
