fund education scholarships for Indigenous young people

Join GO and support the next generation of Indigenous leaders.

An Indigenous Education Scholarship is about more than just academics. It’s about celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and excellence. Young people have the strength and determination to realise their dreams in any field they choose.

That’s why celebrating Indigenous excellence matters – it shows our young people what’s possible, with the right support around them to pursue their goals and aspirations.

We want to see every young person thrive. That means access to education, staying connected to culture, and being supported every step of the way. A GO Scholarship brings all of that together.

More opportunities have opened up for the Murray family through GO’s Scholarships.

The Murrays are a proud Wiradjuri family living on Dharawal lands. Four of the Murray kids – Bowen, 18, Lylah, 16, Arley, 13 and Kiara, 7 - are recipients of a GO Scholarship.

Their mum Kadie is proud that her children are supported through GO’s Program, she says, “The financial support is one part of it, but it’s also about the cultural connections, the opportunities, and the sense of belonging that GO gives them.”

As a family of seven, their home is always full and busy. Through the funds available from their GO Scholarships, they’ve been able to set up a dedicated study space at home, with a desk, a place to sit and tech devices to support their schoolwork. It’s created a space where they can focus, stay on top of their learning and work in a way that suits them.

A GO Scholarship also enables greater access to school camps, excursions and tutoring, and the Murrays have made the most of these opportunities.

Their Mum Kadie says,

As a parent, seeing my kids grow through these opportunities, and knowing they’re supported by people who truly believe in them, is something I’m incredibly grateful for. GO is shaping not just their education, but their future

Your donation supports GO to empower Indigenous students like the Murray’s through education and culture.

SUCCESS for GO is Education + Culture

The GO Foundation supports Indigenous students on their education journeys, backing them to pursue their goals at school and beyond.

GO Scholarships are built around two key pillars: participation at school and connection to culture.

More than 2,300 Indigenous students have received a GO Scholarship, with more Scholars than ever completing Year 12 and continuing on to further study.

Demand for GO Scholarships continues to grow. Your donation makes it possible to extend this support to more students.

The GO Foundation is an Aboriginal-led organisation, with lived knowledge and experience of how to improve outcomes for First Nations people. It was founded by Sydney Swans legends Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin to provide a supportive network so each child can find success that’s true to themselves.

Now, more than ever, your donation will give life-changing opportunities to our GO students.

All donations to GO are tax deductible.
