As a GO Student, Millie interviewed Australia’s Governor General, The Hon. Sam Mostyn (also a lawyer) for NITV
It’s never too early, and with a GO education scholarship, students can connect with inspiring Indigenous leaders who help them see what’s possible.
Millie dreams of being a lawyer (and a cheer coach). Through GO, she met Her Excellency The Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia – and realised her dreams could become reality.

Millie is like most 10-year-olds, she’s very active. She loves swimming, Oztag, gymnastics, tumbling, cheer and dance. But most of all, she loves being a GO Student.
For the last four years, Millie – a proud Wakka Wakka student, living in Canberra – has received a GO education scholarship because of generous donors like you.
“It feels like you’re special. You’re not just a normal person. You’re Aboriginal, and there’s no other people in my school like me.” - Millie
Through the GO Foundation, Millie has explored Aboriginal cultural experiences, learned traditional dances, worked with local artists and connected with Elders. She’s grown in confidence, excelled at school and become a role model for younger students.

GO can open doors, but it’s each student’s responsibility to walk through. GO gives them the opportunity, but they've got to put in the bigger effort and walk through the door.
- Adam Goodes, GO Foundation Co-Founder

It was founded by Sydney Swans legends Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin to provide a supportive network so each child can find success that’s true to themselves.
