Our major fundraising events of the year are held in both Sydney and Adelaide. The funds raised enable us to remain student-focussed and continue on our mission to empower through education.

Culture Connect Days run in Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra , to provide an opportunity for our students from Year 7 through to Year 12 and into University to connect with each other, the GO team and culture. Taking part in a series of cultural and leadership workshops, the students leave wrapped in culture.

A key priority of our Strategic Plan is to support the transition to high school for Year 5 and 6 students, and we were incredibly proud to launch our Leadership Days in 2023.

Our Year 5 & 6 students come together twice a year to engage in cultural and leadership activities and develop resilience and strength in culture.

Our GO alumni are an important part of the GO Family and we love to catch up with them a few times a year.  

Alumni are invited to attend Sydney Swans matches, professional development dinners, our Culture Connect Days and Year 5&6 Leadership Days.  We encourage them to inspire our younger students and connect with each other so they can build their network.   We are looking forward to continuing to grow the network in the coming years.  

We love hosting our supporters and partners at various events throughout the year including a Supports Welcome, breakfasts and Sydney Swans matches
