STUDENT

If you are awarded a GO Scholarship the program we provide encompasses:

  1. Cultural and aspirational mentoring: GO places culture at the heart of what we do and the best opportunity we get to bring our scholars together is at our Culture Connect Days, held in each state twice per year.  We are also building an Alumni network and have a focus on supporting year 5 and 6 students going from primary to high school.

  2. Ongoing support: GO’s team of dedicated Scholarships Program Managers visit schools each term to check in with students. These regular visits provide tailored guidance, encouragement, and help students stay on track throughout their education journey.

  3. Access and opportunities: Our partners provide access to jobs, internships, work experience and career information sessions.

  4. Financial support: The financial component of the scholarship can be spent on educational needs such as uniform, excursions, tutoring or equipment for school.

One of our values is ‘Strength in Culture’ and at GO we pride ourselves on putting culture at the heart of everything we do.

As a GO scholar you have the chance to learn more about your culture and your heritage with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.

Applications for scholarships will open annually in Term 3. GO Foundation partner schools will receive notification once the application period begins.

GO Foundation scholarships run for two years and support students through key learning and transition stages, offering cultural and educational benefits through our partner schools.

Here's how the two year cycle runs accross school levels:
