FOUNDERS UPDATE

The past few months have been filled with so many proud moments across the GO community.

We got the chance to return to Adelaide, where we reconnected with students and celebrated the growing Alumni network at the Alumni Dinner hosted by our partner, GHD. Thank you to GHD for your generous support and to Minister Kyam Maher for joining us. Another highlight was seeing so many GO Scholars come together at our Sydney Careers Experience and Culture Connect Day at Carriageworks. We also loved watching the GO brand being brought to life during the Sir Douglas Nicholas Round, with Toyota’s generous donation of signage and the Sydney Swans creating match day experiences for our Scholars and Alumni, which you can read more about in this edition.

We also want to extend our thanks to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts during May and June. We couldn’t be more grateful for your ongoing generosity, which enables us to continue empowering Indigenous young people through education. We couldn’t do it without you by our side!

Founders

Welcome to our second Founders Update for 2026. From Alumni Dinners to a Year 5 and 6 Leadership Day, it has been a busy period of connection and celebration. We’ve also held Culture Connect Days in Adelaide and Sydney, with another taking place in Canberra this week – which we’re very excited about. For me, these events are always a highlight. Seeing our Scholars and Alumni celebrate culture, support one another and reach new milestones is incredibly rewarding.

Beyond our own events, it has also been wonderful to spend time with our partners and be part of the important work they are leading. This included joining Bloomberg for the opening of their new offices during Reconciliation Week, attending Datacom’s Innovate RAP Launch in Sydney, the South Australia Reconciliation Week Breakfast in Adelaide and the GHD Round Table in Canberra.

Perhaps the most exciting update is one that speaks to the growth of our Scholarship Program. I am incredibly proud to share that we are now supporting 46 university scholarships, a milestone that represents how far GO has come.

A final thank you goes to the GO team, whose dedication continues to bring our Program and events to life. Thank you for the work you do every day to support our partners and donors, and to celebrate the achievements of our GO Scholars and Alumni.
